23andMe class action alleges data breach compromised customer info

Monica Santana and Paula Kleynburd have filed a class action lawsuit against 23andMe Inc., alleging the genetics testing company failed to adequately secure sensitive customer data that was exposed during a recent data breach. Filed in a California federal court, the suit accuses 23andMe of reallocating blame for the breach and maintaining inadequate cybersecurity protocols.
