Class action lawsuits are filed within days of an incident’s notification. In 2021, around 104 complaints mentioned “ransomware”, compared to 736 by 2023. Complaints regarding “data breach” increased from 391 in 2021 to 1278 in 2023. This highlights the importance of maintaining privilege over multiple aspects of an investigation.
