2 of the Worst Healthcare Data Breaches in US History Happened Last Year

Despite a slight decrease in the number of cyberattacks on U.S. healthcare organizations from 2021 to 2022, the severity and impact of attacks continues to grow, according to a report by Network Assured. The research identified insecure third-party vendors and lack of basic cybersecurity practices as significant contributing factors. Interestingly, the data from cyberattacks is typically sold, with complete medical records fetching up to $250 on the dark web.
