Singapore Police have arrested 12 people, aged 17 to 40, suspected of involvement in a series of banking-related malware scams. Victims’ Android devices were compromised after downloading malicious apps, enabling scammers to gain control, steal bank details and perform unauthorised transactions. The public have been warned not to download apps from unknown sources and to be cautious of requests for personal banking details.
