The internet of things (IoT) offers new attack surfaces. China and the US were the top two countries of origin for cyber attacks in 2023. Common forms of attacks included malware, phishing, denial-of-service, code injection and IoT-based attacks. Researchers recommend prioritizing cybersecurity measures to mitigate threats.
