Medicaid disenrollment varies state-by-state, from 65% in Texas to 10% in Illinois. However, many of the disenrolled are reentering Medicaid, enrolling in alternative coverage, or potentially eligible for other plans. There is a special temporary enrollment period for those who lose Medicaid between March 2023 and July 2024.
