A new study by cybersecurity firm Armis has found that the WannaCry ransomware worm, which attacked hospitals and other industries in 2017, is still rampant and continues to cause havoc. The healthcare industry is particularly vulnerable due to the large number of unmanaged devices in their networks, including outdated operating systems. Segmentation alone is not enough to stop the spread of malware, and organizations need to carefully monitor and patch vulnerable machines to protect against future attacks.
