The International Criminal Court Will Now Prosecute Cyberwar Crimes

The lead prosecutor of the International Criminal Court (ICC) at The Hague, Karim Khan, will investigate and prosecute any hacking crimes violating international law, as he would war crimes committed physically. He stated that his office would gather evidence for any cybercrimes that potentially violate the Rome Statute, with serious cyber incidents potentially being treated as war crimes, crimes against humanity, or genocide.
