SpyLoan Android malware on Google play installed 8 million times

Security company McAfee discovered 15 SpyLoan apps that target developing markets and had received eight million downloads, on Google Play. The apps, which promised fast loans, were used by cyber criminals to gather personal data then blackmail or harass the borrower to make repayments. All the apps have been removed following the investigation.
