Samsung Galaxy gets new Auto Blocker anti-malware feature

Samsung has introduced a new security feature, ‘Auto Blocker’, as part of its One UI 6 update. The opt-in feature improves malware protection on Galaxy devices by preventing the side-loading of risky apps and blocking unauthorized software installations via the USB port. Users can still install APKs from unofficial sources as Auto Blocker is not active by default. While currently only available on Galaxy S23 series, it’s expected to be rolled out on other eligible devices soon.
