New York’s Healthix HIE sending caregivers clinical info alerts without patient consent

New York’s Healthix has launched an Essential Clinical Alerts program, enabling providers and care managers to be alerted in real time about a patient’s journey across the care continuum within its network. The alerts, which do not require patient consent, aim to ensure effective and cost-efficient care management. The program has already generated more than 7.3 million alerts for over 180 organizations and 16 million patients.
