Researchers from the Mount Sinai have upgraded an artificial intelligence (AI) algorithm to provide specific probabilities identifying patients at risk for hypertrophic cardiomyopathy (HCM), based on electrocardiogram (ECG) readings. The updated FDA-approved Viz HCM algorithm provides clinicians and patients with a more precise understanding of their risk. The researchers plan to test the AI calibration approach for HCM across different health systems to establish universal applicability.
