Mirantis has launched Mirantis OpenStack for Kubernetes (MOSK) 24.2, with a feature that automates workload distribution to prevent performance degradation and hypervisor overloading. The Distributed Resource Balancer, developed to contribute to OpenStack, is comparable to VMware’s Distributed Resource Scheduler. MOSK 24.2 includes open-source software-defined storage technology and supports Open Virtual Network software-defined networking, providing network services to virtual machines.
