Microsoft has discovered a new remote access trojan (RAT) called StilachiRAT that targets 20 cryptocurrency wallet extensions in the Google Chrome browser. The malware can steal credentials, digital wallet data and information stored in the clipboard. It can also evade detection and analysis efforts, but the originators remain unidentified. Microsoft advises using antivirus software and cloud-based anti-phishing and anti-malware tools to prevent such attacks.
