Healthcare top target for cyberattacks in 2017, Experian predicts

Experian has released its 2017 data breach industry forecast which predicts that the healthcare sector will be a particular target for cyberattacks due to the lucrative nature of medical identity theft. Experian warns that as more healthcare institutions deploy mobile applications, new vulnerabilities will be created that will become attractive targets for hackers. Additionally, the report predicts that ransomware attacks will increase as it presents an easier way for hackers to cash out.
