Hacking Caused 80% of Healthcare Data Breaches in 2022

Healthcare organizations need to step up actions to protect against hacking, as they are increasingly targeted due to their high-impact data and often outdated infrastructure. The number of data breaches may have fallen slightly in 2022, but costs incurred by breaches reached an average of $10.1m, marking the healthcare industry as the costliest for breaches for the 12th consecutive year. Measures such as enforcing strong passwords, training staff and utilizing microsegmentation can help mitigate risks.
