Hackers are exploiting the allure of adult content on Facebook to infect victims with infostealing malware, according to a report from Bitdefender. The campaign aims to steal personal, payment and cryptocurrency data and has seen approximately 100,000 potential malware downloads. The attackers use compromised Facebook business accounts to run ads promoting fake profiles and a downloadable malware file. The new version of the NodeStealer malware also gives attackers access to email accounts and can steal cryptocurrency.
