Discord is switching to temporary links to stop malware

Discord plans to implement temporary file links by 2023 to counter the spread of malware on its platform. This move will affect links used outside the platform, which will auto-refresh and expire after a day, making them inaccessible. Discord believes this will help curb malware distribution via its content delivery network and create a safer user experience. The changes are expected to have minimal impact on the app’s usage and end users.
