Discord Fights Malware by Making File Links Expire

Discord plans to fight rising malware on its platform by making file links on external sites hosted in Discord expire after 24 hours from 2024. The move is expected to prevent the company’s content delivery networks (CDN) from being used by malware attackers. Any links shared within the Discord client will auto-refresh, and users hosting files should look for an alternate service. More detailed information about the move is expected in the coming weeks.
