Cybersecurity burnout due to stress, fatigue and mental health is costing hundreds of millions in lost productivity

A new report by Hack The Box reveals that US enterprises are losing around $626m due to reduced productivity stemming from cybersecurity professionals’ mental health issues. A shortfall in skills, mounting workload, and stress about cyber threats are exacerbating workers’ stress and burnout. Businesses need to aid the mental health of their workforce and provide opportunities for employees to learn new skills. Integration of AI tools could also help by taking over repetitive tasks and reducing fatigue.
