Artificial Intelligence (AI) is generating great excitement in healthcare, with the potential to improve treatment, cure rare diseases, and automate administrative tasks, according to Tim Boltz, healthcare leader at Carahsoft. However, harnessing AI’s benefits will need support and data from government and public, he said. Boltz also suggested governments can regulate AI use and incentivise providers by adjusting Medicare and Medicaid reimbursements, and updating telemedicine policies.
