Braverman agrees to work with Austria on ‘unprecedented’ migration challenge

The UK Home Secretary, Suella Braverman, and her Austrian counterpart, Gerhard Karner, are advocating for closer cooperation on asylum and migration issues, citing unprecedented burdens on public services. The leaders discussed the use of “safe third countries”, like Rwanda, to process asylum applications. However, the UK’s plan to send asylum seekers to Rwanda awaits a Supreme Court ruling.
