Blockchain and healthcare privacy laws just don’t mix

Blockchain technology has been gaining attention in the healthcare industry due to its potential for improved cybersecurity and interoperability. However, implementing blockchain in the existing regulatory environment of privacy law presents challenges. Attorney Sharon Klein argues that blockchain may not easily align with laws such as HIPAA, and suggests finding smaller projects that can utilize blockchain without facing regulatory hurdles.
