Lloyd’s insurer Apollo is partnering with SoftBank-backed firm Envelop Risk to launch a cyber reinsurance special purpose arrangement (SPA) from January 1, 2024. This follows Apollo’s prior partnership with Envelop Risk in November 2022, in which they entered the cyber market. The move is part of a broader trend in the industry toward increased cyber coverage. Apollo’s new SPA comes shortly after Lloyd’s largest cyber insurer Beazley announced similar plans.
