The American Medical Association and the American Hospital Association have released a paper offering guidance to healthcare organizations on strengthening cybersecurity in response to a rise in cyber threats exploiting the COVID-19 pandemic. The paper recommends using virtual private networks, cloud-based services, enhanced email security protocols, multi-factor authentication, antivirus software, and strong passwords.
