The US-led International Counter Ransomware Initiative compromised of 40 nations aims to eliminate avenues of funding for cybercriminals. They plan to never give in to ransomware demands and will establish two information-sharing platforms to help identify and capture hackers. The members, including the EU, India, Nigeria and more, will create a shared blacklist of digital wallets used to transfer ransomware payments, utilising AI and blockchain technology.
