The NHS in the UK is stepping up its efforts to improve cybersecurity in the wake of the May 2017 WannaCry attack. NHS Digital has introduced a free SMS government alert service to offer guidance and support on cybersecurity. The organisation is also looking for a strategic partner to enhance its cybersecurity services and is investing £21m ($28m) in a capital fund for major trauma centers. However, the National Audit Office has urged the NHS to improve its cybersecurity practices.
