Action1, a patch management vendor, and cybersecurity firm CrowdStrike are clashing over reports of failed acquisition talks. An alleged Action1 staff member leaked an internal email suggesting CrowdStrike was interested in buying the firm for $1bn. However, CrowdStrike dismissed the claims and suggested the rumours stemmed from one exploratory phone call. Action1 has since stated its intention to “remain founder-led”, opting to stay independent. This follows the recent IT outage caused by a botched CrowdStrike update, causing some say.
